Community members are invited to join West Seneca West Middle students and take a trip “Around the World in One Night” on Wednesday, March 9.

Held in conjunction with National Foreign Language Week, students are invited to showcase their ethnic background or a culture in which they are interested by preparing a presentation. Cultures are showcased through posters, images, music, dance and food. The event aims to recognize the diversity in the school and community.

People may purchase a ticket – in the form of a passport – for $2 to “travel around the world” and see what the students have put together. Food samples are free.

There will also be a basket/gift certificate raffle. All proceeds from the raffle and admission fees will benefit the American Cancer Society. Tickets will be available at the door.

Around the World in One Night will take place from 6 to 7:30 p.m. March 9 in the gym at West Middle School, 395 Center Road, West Seneca.
