Amy's Truck Offers Healthy Meals on Wheels

Amy's Truck Offers Healthy Meals on Wheels

We’ve been hearing about a food truck coming from the owners of Amy’s Place for a couple months now, but it wasn’t until last Thursday that Amy’s Truck made it’s long awaited debut in Allentown. Before even serving a single item, Amy’s Truck has gained a following of over 1,500 on their facebook page. In the parking lot of El Buen Amigo, Alli and I waited in an impressive line for about 20 minutes to place our order. Luckily we live within a 1 minute walk from where the truck was parked, so we were able to bring the food back and take some pictures before it got cold.

Horsefeathers Building to House New Winter Market

The popular Elmwood-Bidwell Farmers Market has become a highlight of summer, not just for those living in Buffalo’s Elmwood Village, but for a growing number of loyal customers spread throughout Western New York. But when the market ends its 2012 season in mid-December, several vendors will take part in a brand new indoor winter market that will serve customers every Saturday until the summer market opens again in May for the 2013 season.

Brick Oven Bistro & Deli has updated its lunch, dinner and pizza menus for the fall season, offering some creative new dishes and adding several Italian favorites. The popular South Buffalo restaurant, which opened its doors in February, is located at 904 Abbott Road.

Many favorites remain on the 12-inch brick oven pizza menu, such as the margherita, beef-on-weck, mushroom, sausage, white, reuben, hot pepper and pepperoni. Recently added pizzas include meatball, vegetarian and prosciutto. Gluten-free pizzas are also available upon request.

Meet Buffalo's Newest Food Truck: The Knight Slider

Meet Buffalo's Newest Food Truck: The Knight Slider

About two weeks ago Knight Slider suddenly appeared on the Buffalo Food Truck scene. We love Buffalo’s Food Trucks, so we were excited to see a new one out and about (I think they were first spotted in Larkinville, damn that place is awesome). It took a few days but I (Alli) finally got a chance to head over for lunch last week while they were parked at the First Niagara Center (they really need some tables in that plaza so people can enjoy their food on the spot).

Marco's Is Worth A Trip to the West Side

Marco's Is Worth A Trip to the West Side

I don’t normally get that excited when Alli and I go to Italian restaurants, but since we started Buffalo Eats I’ve heard only good things about Marco’s Fine Italian Dining. I previously visited Marco’s Deli and loved the food, plus I knew chef Marco Sciortino had some serious chops after watching the Nickel City Chef XII Recap. The restaurant isn’t in the prettiest of places, located on Niagara Street near the Rich Products plant in the West Side, but that definitely doesn’t detour their customers. In the grass “parking lot” across the street we found plenty of luxury cars and inside was a busy crowd on a Friday evening.
