Discover South Buffalo Website Launched

Discover South Buffalo Website Launched

www.SouthBuffaloHome.com was created by volunteers from the South Buffalo CREW to welcome everyone to the neighborhoods of South Buffalo.

The new site is a showcase of the many reasons why SB CREW members love where they live, and provides a useful guide for anyone who might buy a home, start a business or visit South Buffalo.

As the page for “Living in SB” says, “When you add it all up, you’d be crazy not to move here. You can escape the high taxes of the suburbs and still live in a safe neighborhood with amazing parks, good schools, caring neighbors, and plenty of stuff to do.” The website provides a great deal of evidence to back that up.

Facebook "Timeline": It Does Not Work, No Opt Out

Every single person, organization and business using Facebook Pages will be forced on March 30, 2012, WITHOUT CHOICE, to use a timeline that is not necessary, impedes communication, and affects privacy and malfunctions.

You can see a preview of timeline here: https://www.facebook.com/about/timeline

The Facebook timeline has been put in place for business, organization and community pages. The timeline hampers communication, is technically faulty, graphically heavy, and is not user friendly. Regardless of how the technology functions, users do not have a choice. This is against net neutrality, an Internet principle that Facebook supports.

UB Architects Win International Competition With Plan for Old Strip Malls

From Archinect News

BUFFALO, N.Y. -- Two faculty members in the University at Buffalo School of Architecture and Planning have won an international design competition with their proposal that the public be given free rein to take over derelict strip mall sites like Buffalo's Central Park Plaza and design and build their own urban communities in a manner that would be, they say, "not unlike the settling of the American frontier."
