The Greater East Aurora Chamber of Commerce’s 46th annual Street Festival & Sidewalk Sale will take place from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, July 25, on Main Street in the beautiful Village of East Aurora. The event will feature more than 100 vendors, plenty of activities for kids and families, bargains on a wide variety of items and much more!

Are you looking to get in touch with your artistic side this summer? Explore the wide variety of events and classes offered at Enjoy The Journey Art Gallery, located at 1168 Orchard Park Road in West Seneca.

Members of the gallery will have their “Shades of Blue” exhibit displayed from July 7 to Aug. 1. The exhibit consists of a different take on colors — using the color and showcasing a piece of artwork with it. A second piece from each artist, showcasing their own style and techniques, will also be on display. An opening reception will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, July 10.

Dog Ears Bookstore Offering Parent-child Play Group

 

Parents are invited to bring their child between the ages of 18 and 30 months to Dog Ears Bookstore for the new parent-child play group facilitated by Maureen McDonnell, a New York State-licensed speech language pathologist.

The group encourages and fosters social play and interaction, language learning through books and songs, communication skills, exposure to early literacy skills and spending special time with a parent. Each visit will include small group play, stories and circle time with music, songs and a snack.

South Buffalo Alive’s 15th annual Garden Tour, showcasing approximately 50 beautiful properties throughout South Buffalo and the Old First Ward neighborhood, will take place from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday, July 19. 

The Garden Tour includes a wide variety of homes and businesses showcasing amazing gardens, landscaping and other outdoor features. There are several first-time stops on this year’s self-guided tour, according to South Buffalo Alive’s Marge Ryan.

Local High Schools to Host Visiting Drums Along the Waterfront Drum Corps

 

Drums Along the Waterfront Tour of Champions is excited to bring the top eight drum corps in the world to Western New York. The event will be held from 7 to 10:30 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 2, at Ralph Wilson Stadium in Orchard Park, and all of the corps will be staying at local high schools as they prepare for the big event.
