Chateau Buffalo Plans ‘Wine Down Wednesday’ Happy Hour Events

 

Chateau Buffalo, Buffalo’s urban winery specializing in wines and craft hard ciders, will begin offering “Wine Down Wednesday — Happy Hour at the Ciderhouse,” from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday evenings beginning Feb. 4. Chateau Buffalo is located at 175 Niagara Frontier Food Terminal (1500 Clinton St.), Buffalo.

Guests of the events will enjoy wine and hard cider by the glass and delicious snack offerings. A $5 admission charge will include one free drink.

Explore Buffalo Plans Social Event to Celebrate First Anniversary

Explore Buffalo has completed one full year of tours, events and programs that celebrate all things Buffalo – which means it’s time for a party! 

Join Explore Buffalo from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 20, at historic First Presbyterian Church on Symphony Circle in Buffalo for their Landmark Social Event. Guests will celebrate the accomplishments of the past year and look forward to the many exciting new ways to experience Buffalo in the works for 2015.

Art Event, Music to be Featured at Dog Ears Bookstore & Café

 

An art show featuring the work of local artist Fred Fielding will take place from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 26, at Dog Ears Bookstore & Café, 688 Abbott Road, Buffalo. The public is invited to attend the event, which will also feature music by HEARsay, featuring Dave Kane and Michael Miskuly.

Fielding, a practicing dentist with Southtowns Dental and a self-taught artist from a family of artists, has been awarded signature status with the Pastel Artists of Canada. To view examples of his work, please visit www.fredfieldingfineart.com.

Winter Market on Hertel Continues on January 31

 

The new Winter Market on Hertel, housed in The Pasta Peddler/Blackbird Sweets location at 1547 Hertel Ave. in Buffalo, continues from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 31. The market will run every Saturday through early April.

In addition to The Pasta Peddler and Blackbird Sweets, vendors taking part in the market on a full 20-week schedule include Alpine Made/First Light Farm & Creamery, Biscotti for Everybotti, Plato Dale Farm, Prudom Farms, Public Espresso & Coffee/BreadHive Worker Cooperative Bakery and White Cow Dairy! Participating on a 10-week rotating schedule are JJ’s Jams, Sandy’s Dandies, Chateau Buffalo, Fetch! Dog Treats and T-Meadow Farm.

In its fourteenth year, renowned live performance artist Jeff Garbaz brings his latest installment of Blouses of the Holy: A Tribute to Zeppelin to Nietzsche's. 

BUFFALO, NY-January 24, 2015 – Renowned live performance artist Jeff Garbaz, well-known for innovative video and visual screens at concerts and festivals, will be presenting his latest installment of the annual Blouses of the Holy Led Zeppelin tribute show on January 24th at Nietzsche’s, 248 Allen Street. With a $7 cover for eight bands, heady visual stimulation will combine with Zeppelin tunes to produce an experience to fill the senses. In its fourteenth year, Blouses of the Holy will spotlight some of the best of Buffalo. With performances by Eric Crittenden’s Juke Joint, the Instigators, Yogurt Club, Cowboys of Scotland, Youngblood, Random Abstract (formerly Jeff Miers Band) Dan Delano Band, and the talented Metal Mania, Blouses is designed to be a multi sensory feast for music lovers.

Fr. Bill Quinlivan, a native of South Buffalo now serving as pastor of Blessed Sacrament Church in Tonawanda, will visit Dog Ears Bookstore & Café for a book-signing event from 2 to 4 p.m. Monday, Feb. 16. Dog Ears Bookstore is located at 688 Abbott Road in South Buffalo.

Fr. Quinlivan’s self-published autobiography, “Made to Praise Him: Finding My Song,” was released in the Fall of 2014.

Come See the Cars — and the Stars — at the 2015 Buffalo Auto Show

 

The Buffalo Auto Show, Western New York’s premier new vehicle automotive event, will take place from Feb. 5-8 at the Buffalo Niagara Convention Center. In addition to seeing every brand new car sold in WNY on display, attendees will have a chance to meet and obtain autographs from some of Buffalo greatest star athletes!

Buffalo Bandits Ryan Benesch, Dhane Smith and Brandon Goodwin, along with some members of the Buffalo Bandettes, will visit the Buffalo Auto Show from 6 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 5, for a free autograph session. Benesch and Smith are among the team’s leading scorers this year, while Goodwin is playing in his first NLL season.
