First Class Bass Charters Lake Erie Fishing Report

  • Water temp. 49 to 50 degrees
  • Fishing this past week was like the weather on Lake Erie, FOGGY.
  • Smallmouth bass action has been OK. The Buffalo Harbor has been a safe bet for fishing and safety.  Smallmouth bass from 2 to 4 lbs. have been caught dragging tube jibs, like poor boy's mango magic and watermelon gold flake with 1/4 oz. to 3/8 oz. jig heads inside them.
  • Smokes Creek area has also been good for bass action in the 25' to 35' depths.
  • Walleye action has been better at night, trolling stick baits in 5' to15' depths. Hoak's, Hamburg Beach have been a great area to start.
  • Perch.  The perch action has been hot when able to get out on the lake.  Look for schools of roaming fish from the bell buoy to Meyers' reef in depths of 35 to 45'.
