Moslow Brothers Celebrates 100th Anniversary with Introduction of Buffalo-themed and Custom Products | Business
Moslow Brothers, manufacturers of quality custom-crafted products for the award, recognition, engraving and gift industries, will celebrate 100 years of doing business in Buffalo in 2017. To celebrate their century long achievement, they are introducing a new line of Buffalo-themed items to their product list!
Located at 375 Norfolk Ave. in Buffalo, M.A. Moslow & Bro. Inc. was founded in Buffalo in 1917 by Martin Anthony Moslow, great-grandfather of current owner David Moslow. The business got its start manufacturing wood products for the U.S. Army during World War I. In 1930, David’s grandfather, Joseph Moslow, took over the company and began manufacturing wood furniture frames for another Buffalo-based business, the Kittinger Furniture Company. David’s father, Neal, guided the company into the awards and recognition industry in 1960.
David, who joined the family business in 1985, now owns and operates the company along with his wife, Robin. And while they are still manufacturing products for the awards and recognition industries, they are currently ushering in a new phase that includes production of high-quality cutting boards, serving trays, bread/cheese boards, lazy Susans and more. The products come in a wide variety of sizes and prices (starting at approximately $29) and can also be custom engraved with the image of a standing buffalo, a message or wherever your creativity takes you!
“Our commitment to quality manufacturing and rapid customer response has kept us in business decade after decade and has made us one of the most popular suppliers in the awards industry,” said David Moslow. “We’re hoping the addition of our new product line — made right here in Buffalo using genuine Hard Maple grown within a 60-mile radius of our manufacturing plant — will capture the attention of a new generation of customers.”
“Maple is a traditional wood used for cutting boards because the wood is very dense,” added Robin Moslow. “Everyone’s grandmother had a maple cutting board because they can stand the test of time with proper care and can even be handed down from generation to generation. In addition to being food safe, we are now personalizing them to meet the needs of today’s cooks and consumers.”
